Haygazian University 50th anniversary
The month of May was rich with fiftieth anniversary celebrations, the first of which was the opening of Andre Kalfayan painting exhibition on May 14,2005, in Arthur Matossian gallery of the Megar building.
The exhibition, which was held under the auspices of the President of the union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the near east , Rev.Megerdich Karagorzian, attracted a large audience and media representation . In fact , many ambassadors and cultural attaches were present from various embassies, in addition to prominent Lebanese artists.
President Haidostian delivered a short message , noting that it is also the 25th anniversary of the Arthur Matossian art gallery . About the artist he said : Andre Kalfayan has a unique appreciation for Lebanese heritage, he is endowed with overflowing talent, and therefore he is our designated artist to be hosted on the occasion of the 50th anniversary.
In his address , Rev.Karagoezian thanked the Lord for all the blessings we enjoy especially for the unique talent of Kalfayan .
